The annual juried exhibition and awards ceremony recognizes the artistic achievements of students in grades six through 12 from Connecticut and beyond.

This year's exhibition will feature 60 photographs selected by a panel of professional judges from student submissions.

The theme for 2026 is "Traditions," encouraging young photographers to explore the customs, experiences and practices that shape their lives and communities.

According to organizers, the selected photographs offer perspectives on how traditions are passed down through generations, change over time, and influence family, culture, community, and everyday life.

The Celebration of Young Photographers is designed to recognize emerging artistic talent while providing students with an opportunity to have their work displayed in a gallery setting.

ASAP!, which stands for After School Arts Program, provides arts-infused learning experiences for students.

The Nov. 1 exhibition and awards ceremony is free and open to the public.
