WEST HARTFORD, CT — Residents are invited to explore West Hartford's Trout Brook Trail during a free guided walk Saturday, Nov. 7, hosted by Friends of West Hartford Parks.
The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon, will take participants along the town's linear park while providing opportunities to learn about trees along the trail and plans for its future expansion.
The walk will also offer residents an opportunity to meet neighbors and make new friends.
Participants will gather at Norfeldt Field, at the corner of Trout Brook Drive and Boulevard, before heading north along the trail to Duffield Drive and returning to the starting point.
The approximately 3-mile round-trip walk will consist of two 1.5-mile segments and is expected to take about two hours.
All ages are welcome, and the route is open to participants with strollers.
Organizers recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing water, although some water will also be available.
