Summer Dance Performance at Saint Joseph College - A Sense of Wonder: A Celebration of Science and the Arts

WEST HARTFORD, CONN. - Saint Joseph College recently presented the eighth season of its Arts Integration and Multiple Intelligences Program (AIMI) culminating with A Sense of Wonder: A Celebration of Science and the Arts. This spirited dance performance included original choreography, colorful costumes and scenery that depicted various aspects of science such as DNA coming alive, electromagnets, robots, a flying airplane, systems of the body, plus much more! Pictured here is the energetic finale featuring all show participants on stage in The Bruyette Athenaeum’s Hoffman Auditorium.
The performance was directed and choreographed by Kay Gayner of the National Dance Institute (NDI) in New York City and conceived by Oscar and Emmy Award winner Jacques d’Amboise H’03 who serves as artist-in-residence. AIMI is unmatched by other summer arts opportunities in combining both instruction and show preparation within a short time frame; 50 children and 30 Saint Joseph College graduate students participated in the program.
