Black History Month Events Slated At West Hartford's Blue Back

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Black History Month festivities are planned at the Community Exchange site at Blue Back Square in West Hartford this weekend.

Guests are being asked to "Celebrate Black Joy, Excellence & Community" Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18 and Feb. 19.

The Community Exchange site is at the former West Elm store, 91 Memorial Road.

On Saturday, visitors can come out for "Community Day" from noon to 3 p.m. and be a part of a community mural, enjoy games for all ages and listen to guest readers in the community reading corner.

Then, on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., they can join artists, Jaii Marc Renee, Faustin Adeniran, Trae Brooks and others for the "Artist Walk & Talk Gallery" and a panel discussion on "Blackness & Art."
