Calebrate Autumn At West Hartford's Fall Family Festival Saturday
In its 50th year, the festival will take place for most of the day at Westmoor Park in West Hartford.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Saturday is a big day at one West Hartford park, as the town is celebrating the 50th anniversary of a major fall tradition.
Westmoor Park is the site of the Fall Family Festival, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Westmoor, located at 119 Flagg Road, is the town-owned facility home to trails, gardens, and other features.

But the 162-acre park is best known for being home to the town's self-funded environmental, agricultural, and horticultural education center operated by West Hartford Leisure Services.
Starting at 9 a.m. and lasting throughout the day, the park will be home to festival events, including:

• 9 to 11 a.m. - Rockin' Rooster Kids' FunRun. This is for kids ages 3-12. Register on RecDesk by searching for the keyword "Rooster."
• 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Free Fall Family Festival.
Open to all ages, this tradition features hayrides; pumpkin rolling; 4-H demonstrations; face-painting; and arboretum tours, among other events.
No registration is required. Just show up.
• 6 to 8 p.m. - Adults-only Westmoor Square Dance. Registration is required as spots are limited. You can register today at RecDesk.com.
