Elderly Driver Crashes Into Pizzeria In West Hartford: Report
The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — No injuries were reported after an elderly woman drove onto the sidewalk and crashed into the entrance of a popular pizzeria at lunchtime in a busy section of West Hartford on Thursday, according to multiple reports.
FOX61 reports the crash significantly damaged the front entrance of Savoy Pizzeria & Craft Bar, located at 32 Lasalle Road. FOX 61 morning news anchor Keith McGilvery was out running errands and recorded the aftermath of the crash on Facebook Live. Police on the scene told McGilvery that there were no injuries and the crash was being investigated. Despite the crash, Savoy Pizzeria remained open as patrons could be seen coming and going on the video.
We-Ha.com reports that an 88-year-old woman was driving the car that hopped the curb and crashed into the front of the building. The façade of JoS. A. Bank Clothiers was also damaged in the incident. The woman was cited for the incident, according to We-Ha.com.
