The New Children's Museum in West Hartford CT celebrates National Astronomy Day on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

Calling all Space Detectives! The New Children’s Museum in West Hartford celebrates National Astronomy Day on Saturday, April 25, 2015. This day-long event includes hands-on astronomy activities and exciting planetarium shows for all ages.
Visitors will have fun exploring moon and star investigation stations, including identifying the “fingerprints” of stars, viewing the Sun with a safe solar telescope (weather permitting), and traveling beyond Earth in the planetarium to solve outer space mysteries!
These activities are included with general admission on Astronomy Day. Museum hours on Astronomy Day are 9am – 4 pm. Admission to The Children’s Museum is $14.75 for adults, $13.75 for seniors (63+), $13.75 for children (2-12) and free for children under age 2.

The New Children’s Museum is the region’s leading STEAM education resource. The Museum integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and math into hands-on, interdisciplinary activities that foster creative thinking, academic achievement, and a spirit of lifelong learning.
The Museum is home to over 100 live animals, hands-on science exhibits, out-of-this-world digital planetarium shows, and programs for younger children and families. The New Children’s Museum and Roaring Brook Nature Center are the region’s premiere destinations for science and nature exploration.
