Celebration of Global Women's Leadership to be Held in West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT - The World Affairs Council of CT and the University of Saint Joseph’s Women’s Leadership Center are celebrating global women’s leadership.

Guests are invited to attend a panel of distinguished women leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing women in an international landscape, according to a release. Also up for discussion will be the role women’s advancement can play in shaping our global future.

Featured guests include Rep. Nancy Johnson, representing the 6th and 5th Districts of Connecticut (1983 - 2007), and Senior Advisor Baker Donelson.

Alos featured will be K. Riva Levinson, the Founder, President and CEO of KRL International LLC. Levinson is advisor to Africa's first female elected President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, an author of the acclaimed memoir "Choosing the Hero."

The discussion will be moderated by NBC Connecticut anchor Tara Joyce.

The event will take place at the University of Saint Joseph in the Carol Autorino Center for the Arts and Humanities on Monday, April 17, at 5 p.m. A reception will follow at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
