Chef David Borselle to Open New Restaurant this November in West Hartford

The restaurant will feature a refined take on American comfort food in a laid-back atmosphere.

WEST HARTFORD, CT – Celebrated Connecticut chef David Borselle will open his newest eatery, Park & Oak Restaurant, this November, We-Ha.com reported.

The restaurant, located at 14-16 Oakwood Avenue, will feature a refined take on American comfort food in a laid-back atmosphere, according to We-Ha.com. Borselle wants Park & Oak to serve the kind of food that he and his wife, NBC Connecticut anchor Heidi Voight, enjoy regularly.

The menu is still being developed, but Borselle is planning to offer items like shrimp and grits and biscuits, We-Ha.com reported. Other dishes being developed will feature American regional influences, as well as pasta.

Borselle has held many esteemed positions throughout his career as a chef and restaurateur, including a Sous-Chef position at the Ritz-Carlton in South Beach Miami, Fla., according to the chef’s Facebook page.

He opened Vivo restaurant, his first in the Hartford area. Vivo earned him many accolades and awards, including Hartford Magazine’s “Best Chef” in 2005 and a feature in Connecticut Magazine as “a rising star”.

He later achieved success in Madison after opening Bar Bouchee in 2010, and later aVERT Brasserie in West Hartford.
