Chick-fil-A In West Hartford To Celebrate Local Hunger Relief Efforts

The Bishops Corner site will celebrate its first anniversary this week with family activities and recognition of local partnerships.

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Chick-fil-A Bishops Corner will celebrate its first anniversary in West Hartford with a community event highlighting local partnerships, employee achievements and hunger relief efforts.

The family-friendly celebration is scheduled for Friday, June 12, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at the restaurant, 2534 Albany Ave.

Owner-Operator Melissa Hughes will recognize team members, staff members who recently graduated from high school or college, and community partners during a presentation planned for about 3 p.m.

The event will also spotlight the restaurant’s food donation efforts through the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program. According to the restaurant, donations to Praying With a Purpose have helped provide more than 2,496 meals during the past year.

Activities will include face painting, a balloon artist, a DJ, mascot appearances, menu sampling and giveaways.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to enter a raffle for free Chick-fil-A for a year.

Restaurant officials said the event is intended to celebrate the community relationships, job opportunities and charitable initiatives that have contributed to the restaurant’s first year of operation in West Hartford.
