Cedar Hill is the final resting place for more than 175 Civil War soldiers some of whom endured horrific conditions as prisoners of war. Evelyn Bollert will lead a tour of the resting places of prisoners of the Civil War and tell their stories of bravery, resilience and heartbreak.

Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation’s mission is to preserve, protect and promote in perpetuity the art, culture, history and natural beauty of Hartford’s nationally recognized Cedar Hill Cemetery.
We invite you to support our efforts to maintain and restore the cemetery’s historic architecture, preserve the historic and unique memorial artworks, conserve and protect the natural resources, care for the picturesque trees and shrubs, and present educational tours and events to the public.

Hallowed History Lantern Tour Friday, October 28 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm Admission: $15.00 Reservations Required

Led by lantern light, attendees will visit the final resting places of some of Cedar Hill’s notable and not-so-notable residents. All new stories this year!
