Coalition Pushes for Dog Park in West Hartford
About 30 supporters met with town officials to discuss the plan.

About 30 people came out in support of a group trying to build a dog park on a town-owned site on Cornerstone Drive and met with town officials Tuesday to discuss their latest proposal, according to the Hartford Courant.
The Courant reports that under the plan a dog park would be established on nearly two-thirds of an acre on the land between the Cornerstone pool and Buena Vista golf course.
The coalition is working on obtaining non-profit status and its leaders say the project would be entirely funded by donors at no cost to taxpayers, according to the Courant.

The town will hold another meeting on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers to give residents who might be opposed to the park a chance to have their say on the project, according to the Courant.
