Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT
- The 48th Commencement of Tunxis Community College was held on May 30 at Central Connecticut State University. A total of 525 graduates were conferred associate degrees and certificates from 59 Connecticut towns as well as Massachusetts. Those who were conferred degrees in December 2018 were also recognized at the ceremony. Graduates from West Hartford were Elsayid R. Ahmed, Deni Bihorac, Rachel E. Burnett, Amber J. - Eight students from West Hartford were named to the 2019 Dean's List at Union College. Comprised annually, the Union College Dean's List honors students who have a grade point average of 3.5 for the entire academic year and meet certain other requirements. Honorees from West Hartford were Emily Bobruff, a member of the Class of 2019, majoring in Political Science; William Carpenter, a member of the Class of 2022, majoring in Mathematics and Economics; Benjamin Coady, a member of the Class of 2021, majoring in Political Science; Owen Farley, a member of the Class of 2020, majoring in Political Science and Asian Studies; Charlotte Leyland, a member of the Class of 2020, majoring in Political Science; Matthew Masciocchi, a member of the Class of 2019, majoring in Political Science; Amber Raisner, a member of the Class of 2022, majoring in Neuroscience; and Jeremy Rausch, a member of the Class of 2021, majoring in Political Science and Chinese.
