Connecticut Brewery Harnesses the Power of Beer to Fight Pediatric Cancer
Back East Brewing is putting the power of beer to work to fight pediatric cancer during September with a "Taproom Takeover"

Back East Brewing Company is putting the power of beer to work to fight pediatric cancer during September. Throughout the month of September they will be staging the “Taproom Takeover Against Cancer” at their Bloomfield brewery. It features the craft beers of eight Connecticut breweries, representing every county in Connecticut. One dollar of every pint or flight sold from these breweries will support the efforts of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in their ongoing fight against pediatric cancer.
“We decided to use the power of craft beer to fuel the fight against pediatric cancer,” said Back East’s founder, Tony Karlowicz. “So we asked our fellow Connecticut craft beer brewers, Thomas Hooker, Counter Weight, Half Full, Outer Light, Kent Falls, Black Pond, Cold Creek, and Stubborn Beauty to join with us to help support this great cause.” Several of Back East’s brews, including Misty Mountain IPA, Porter, Back East Ale, Golden Ale, Intergalactic Lupulinary, Octoberfest, and others will also be on tap.
The Taproom Takeover Against Cancer will be open for customers 21 and over, while supplies last on the following days at Back East Brewing, 1296 Blue Hills Ave, Bloomfield:
