Crash In West Hartford Sends Motorcyclist To Hospital: Police

The West Hartford PD is investigating a vehicle-versus-motorcycle accident that occurred late Sunday afternoon.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are investigating a vehicle-versus-motorcycle crash late Sunday afternoon that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital and tied up traffic.

The West Hartford Police Department said the crash, reported just before 5:15 p.m. Sunday, was at 2900 Albany Ave.

Police said the collision involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle, with the adult operator of the motorcycle having apparent injuries on the scene.

The motorcyclist, police said, was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, while the occupants of the passenger vehicle reported no injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the West Hartford Police Department Traffic Division, with help from the West Hartford Fire Department, Avon Police Department, and State of
Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Albany Avenue was closed from the Avon Town Line east to Mountain Road in West Hartford, police said, with the roadway closed for several hours.
