CT Walks For Haiti Through West Hartford Center

CT Walks For Haiti runs an annual walk-a-thon and festival to fund the projects of charities working in Haiti . Since 2010, CT Walks For Haiti has raised over $100,000 for educational, medical and nutritional programs. The sixth annual walk and festival will take place on April 25, 2015.

CT Walks for Haiti aims to focus attention on the needs of the Haitian people and raise funds for the projects of five participating non-profit health organizations. Each spring, CT Walks for Haiti brings together people of different backgrounds for a day of fun, festivity and charity in picturesque West Hartford, Connecticut. A 5K walk through West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square:
at a lesuire pace make it fun for all ages! All donations are equally distributed among the six participating organizations.

On the day of the walk itself, there is a silent auction before hand at St. Peter’s Claver Church. With amazing items such as Red Sox tickets, show tickets, and dinner packages, you won’t want to miss you! There will also be upbeat musical performances:
Plus delcious authentic food, and guest appearances by local faces such as FOX CT’s Joe Furey!!

West Hartford’s Medical Aid to Haiti (MATH) is an organic outgrowth of a Medical Ministry established at St. Peter Claver Church in West Hartford , Connecticut in 2002. It is one of the five organizations that benefit from this event. This Ministry raised funds to sponsor medical teams that traveled to Haiti to work with Haitian healthcare providers. Since 2002 a total of nine medical teams traveled to Haiti to conduct multi-day mobile clinics at medically underserved locations in and around Port-au-Prince Haiti . http://medicalaidtohaiti.org/
