Debate To Feature Farmington Council Chair Hopefuls
A Farmington High School student group is hosting the debate, which is on Thursday, Nov. 2, at FHS.

FARMINGTON, CT — The town's top elected official will be decided at the polls next week, with a debate slated for Thursday to give voters one more chance to compare the two running.
Democrat Rafeena Bacchus Lee and Republican Joe Capodiferro, both incumbent Farmington Town Council members, are seeking the chairmanship.
The decision on who will become the Farmington Town Council chairperson is up to the voters in Farmington.

And with incumbent Republican council chairman C.J. Thomas stepping down and not seeking a new term, the race to lead the town's top elected body is wide open.
At 7 p.m. in the Farmington High School cafeteria, the FHS Political Action Club will host the two council members in a debate, with club members moderating the event.

The club is a non-partisan organization whose only charge is to encourage student participation in the community and political arena.
Polls are open in Farmington from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, to decide this race, as well as seats on several other boards and commissions.
