Despite the Heat, 15 West Hartford Residents Complete Boston Marathon

If you had to pick a day to run a marathon, Monday wasn't it. With temperatures well into the 80s in Boston, thousands of runners who had signed up decided not to run and at least a hundred who ran were taken to the hospital.

But these hearty souls from West Hartford not only ran but completed the race.

They are:

• Gareth Bye, 49, with a time of 3 hours 13 minutes.
• Seth Oriol, 53, with a time of 3 hours 24 minutes.
• Thomas Menner, 49, with a time of 3 hours 26 minutes.
• Jenna Bernstein, 23, with a time of 3 hours 32 minutes.
• Ted Newton, 50, with a time of 3 hours 44 minutes.
• Heather Shaw, 36, with a time of 4 hours 4 minutes.
• Daniel Wisialowski, 45, with a time of 4 hours 10 minutes.
• Terence Crean, 59, with a time of 4 hours 14 minutes.
• Kimberly Lyman, 48, with a time of 4 hours 41 minutes.
• Thomas Golembeski, 38, with a time of 4 hours 46 minutes.
• Kelly Horan, 38, with a time of 4 hours 46 minutes.
• Christine Brooks, 54, with a time of 4 hours 47 minutes.
• Brian Searles, 41, with a time of 5 hours, 23 minutes.
• Paul Shapiro, 62, with a time of 5 hours 45 minutes.
• Craig Campbell, 37, with a time of 6 hours 1 minute.
