Direct TV Sub-Contractor Accused of Sexually Assaulting Customer in West Hartford

Police located the man and arrested him at his next install appointment in Hartford.

A sub-contractor working for Direct TV is accused of sexually assaulting a customer Wednesday afternoon in West Hartford.

Rashford Gordon, 38, of 7 Larensen Ridge in Bloomfield, was arrested after West Hartford police located him at his next TV install appointment in Hartford.

Police were originally dispatched to a West Hartford residence around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday on a complaint that a sexual assault had just occurred.

An investigation revealed the victim had a scheduled appointment for Direct TV to install equipment. The victim told police the installer made advances before eventually committing the sexual assault.

The victim was transported to Hartford Hospital.

Gordon was arrested on charges of first-degree sexual assault and second-degree unlawful restraint. He was held on a $250,000 bond and is due in court Thursday.
