Don't Miss West Hartford Symphony's First Show Of Season

WEST HARTFORD, CT — One of the town's most prominent arts organizations is hosting its first show of the season on Sunday, Oct. 20 — an event "you're not going to want to miss."

The West Hartford Symphony Orchestra opens its 22nd season on that day at the University of Saint Joseph's Hoffman Auditorium at Bryette Atheneium, 1678 Asylum Ave., West Hartford.

The event, called "New Beginnings, " will feature pianist Kevin Schwarz playing Gershwin’s famous “Rhapsody.”

Also on the program will be Aaron Copland’s foot-stomping Hoe-Down and Antonin Dvorak’s beautiful Symphony No. 8.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased on the WHSO.org website, by calling the office at 860-521-4362, and in the auditorium’s lobby on the day of the concert. Senior and student price is $15. General admission is $20.
