Douglas The (Therapy) Dog Joins Delamar West Hartford Staff

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Drinks with Douglas the Dog are coming to the Delamar West Hartford.

That's right, the hotel is bringing in a therapy dog to "bring a sense of comfort and calm" to hotel guests.

Hotel officials noted that dogs "have a way of calming people during stressful times in their lives."

That makes Douglas a perfect addition to the staff, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Delamar West Hartford will have Douglas, a trained therapy dog, is scheduled to be welcoming guests in the lobby beginning Thursday from 3:45 to 4:45. Douglas is slated to be on-hand every Thursday at that time.

Douglas is a Goldendoodle, born on March 15, 2014. His favorite treat is Greenies, favorite toy is a play spider, and favorite hobby is searching for rabbits.
