EaHa Residents Charged In Gunshot Incident In West Hartford: Police
A male and a female from East Hartford were charged in connection with the discharge of a firearm in West Hartford on Sunday.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police Tuesday announced charges against two suspects from East Hartford in connection with a gunfire incident in West Hartford early Sunday morning.
According to the West Hartford Police Department, the following suspects have been charged:
• Louis Declaybrook, 31, of East Hartford, was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm; criminal attempt at first-degree assault; first-degree reckless endangerment; and interfering with a police officer.

Declaybrook was being held on a $250,000 Surety bond and was slated to to be arraigned in Hartford Superior Court on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
• Yarisa Mendez, 31, of East Hartford was also charged in connection with this investigation with interfering with a police officer.

Mendez was released on $10,000 bond and will appear in Hartford Superior Court Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Police said at approximately 1:44 a.m. Sunday, West Hartford Police Department personnel were in the area of Farmington Avenue and Lasalle Road on foot patrol, when they heard the sound of a single gunshot.
According to the WHPD, officers quickly located several vehicles leaving the area where the gunshot was heard and located evidence of gunfire.
No victims were located on the scene.
