Election 2016 Results: West Hartford Vote Totals for President, U.S. Senate and Local Races

On Wednesday morning, full election results and numbers were released for all races that residents voted on.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — On Election Night, 71.41 percent of residents preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.

According to the CT Secretary of State election center updated via 10 a.m. Wednesday, 23,478 residents voted for Clinton and 7,915 voted for Trump. Johnson additionally received 980 votes, while Stein received 437.

In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed 22,412 as a Democratic candidate and 1,213 as a Working Families Party candidate.

Republican candidate Dan Carter meanwhile received 8,313 votes. The race was rounded out with 324 votes for Richard Lion and 371 votes for Jefferey Russell.

Democrat John B. Larson beat out Republican candidate Matthew M. Corey in the 1st Congressional District race, with Larson earning 22,446 votes on multiple lines. Corey amassed 9,044 votes, while Green Party candidate S. Michael DeRosa received 623 votes.

In West Hartford, Democratic incumbent Beth Bye won out over Republican candidate Mark Merritt in the 5th Senatorial District race. Bye garnered 20,729 votes, while Merritt amassed 10,713 votes as a Republican candidate and 629 votes as an Independent candidate.

In the 18th State House District, Democrat Andrew Fleischmann beat out Republican candidate Robert Levine. Fleischmann garnered 7,390 votes on multiple lines, while Levine received 4,088 on multiple lines.

Democratic candidate Derek Slap, meanwhile, came out victorious in the 19th State House District over Republican Chris Barnes. Slap received 5,786 votes, while Barnes received 4,602 votes on multiple lines.

Democratic candidate Joe Verrengia ran unopposed in the 20th State House District, receiving 8,034 in the process. Owen Eagan also ran unopposed in the Judge of Probate race, garnering 24,827 votes.

Democrat Gail M. Crockett received 19,489 votes and Republican Beth Kyle received 11,176 votes for registrar of voters.
