Enjoy Family Halloween Fun At USJ's West Hartford Campus
The University of Saint Joseph on Oct. 30 is hosting a special Halloween 'Truck and Treat' celebration on campus for area families.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local children will be able to visit the University of Saint Joseph campus in town Monday and enjoy a little Halloween fun.
That's because USJ students are hosting a special community "Truck and Treat" event at a campus residence hall.
It will take place Monday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. near Madonna Hall, a residence hall on campus, which is located at 1678 Asylum Ave., West Hartford.

During the community program, children and families will be able to visit all sorts of trucks and vehicles that tend to fascinate kids.
Among them are military vehicles, construction equipment, police and fire vehicles and other massive modes of transportation.

Then, they will be able to visit a specially decorated first floor at Madonna Hall, where students living there will be giving out candy to costumed children.
The program is a community endeavor between the college and the families that live in the town where the university is located.
"It should be a great time for kids who will be 'treated' to 'ghouls at the school,' wrote USJ spokesperson Colleen Kane in an announcement.
