The Ethel Walker School Announces 2019 Graduates
Two students from West Hartford recently received their diplomas from The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury.
SIMSBURY, CT — The Ethel Walker School, an independent college preparatory boarding and day school for girls in Simsbury, has announced two students from West Hartford graduated as members of its Class of 2019.
Rebecca (Becky) Morris was honored as a scholar athlete in recognition of her academic achievement and contributions to the equestrian team. Morris served as captain of the equestrian team. During the school’s annual Prize Night, she earned the Cicerone Society Prize and the William C. Lickle Cup to Honor Frank O.H. Williams in honor of achievement in riding and scholastic endeavors. Morris will attend Southern Methodist University in the fall.
Elise Namnoum was inducted into The Cum Laude Society in recognition of her academic
excellence. In addition, she served as a captain of the varsity soccer, skiing and golf teams and
was honored as a scholar-athlete in recognition of her contributions and academic achievement.
During the school’s annual Prize Night, she earned the Vorhees Cup in recognition of her
contributions to athletics, good sportsmanship and school spirit and the Varsity Club Award in
honor of receiving at least 12 varsity letters. Namnoum will attend Boston College in the fall.
