ARTtalks: Bonnie Gayle Morrill

Join us for the second talk in our ARTtalks series featuring artist Bonnie Gayle Morrill. Bonnie, a member of the West Hartford Art League, is an illustrator who has been working for The Wall Street Journal since she graduated from Hartford Art School in 2003, drawing the iconic "hedcuts" that are seen everyday in the newspaper. She is one of only eight artists ever trained in this unique pen & ink style. Morrill will take us through the dot by dot process of creating these stipple portraits and discuss how the drawings have evolved over the years and became a trademark of WSJ. She will have several original drawings on display.
