The Hartford Tennis Club, Greater Hartford's premier outdoor tennis club for more than 70 years, will hold an open house for prospective members on June 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:oo p.m. The nonprofit, member-run club in West Hartford, offers members 12 Har-Tru tennis courts, social events and tournaments, top professional instruction, team play at the A and B levels and an outstanding junior tennis program. The Hartford Tennis Club also hosts the annual Walter Rapp Men's Jubilee and New England Sectional Singles & Doubles Tennis Tournament sanctioned by the United States Tennis Association every July. Tennis players interested in joining the club — there is currently a short waiting list — are invited to try out the courts during the open house.
