Claire Zick leads adult improv classes at Playhouse on Park!
Playhouse on Park and Improvisational Instructor Claire Zick are offering an intermediate level class for adults who have completed the "Intro to Improv" class level. Adults with other experience can gain admittance with approval from the instructor. Intermediate Improv classes continue the work on the fundamental principles of improvisation while students learn a range of improv games. The class will focus on concepts such as status, tilt, and re-incorporation, and explore using the environment and the non-linear narrative. Emphasis on character work and playing with commitment. There will be a performance and the conclusion of the session. Class size is limited to 12. Classes are scheduled Monday evenings from 7pm - 10pm. The session runs October 15th through November 25th. Cost is $200.
Claire Zick has performed with Seattle's first and most reputable improv theater company Unexpected Productions and Seattle Theatresports. She has served as the assistant artistic director at Sisters of Sal and studied Improv at Unexpected Productions, Magnet Theater and UCB Theatre.
