Kids Triathlon & Family Relay

Does your child like to swim, bike and run?  Would they like a new kind of challenge?  Then consider the West Hartford Kids Triathlon this Saturday, August 18th.  It's a great way to try out a new and exciting sport...and if you don't want to stand on the sidelines, you and your family can sign up for the family relay. 

The distances vary according to a child's age:

The distances for the kids triathlon are as follows:
Ages 6-7:  Swim 25 yards (1 pool length), Bike 1 mile, Run 1/4 mile.
Ages 8-9: Swim 50 yards (2 pool lengths), Bike 2 miles, Run 1/2 mile.
Ages 10+: Swim 100 yards (4 pool lengths), Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile.
Family Relay: Swim 100 yards (4 pool lengths), Bike 4 miles, Run 1 mile.

All participants must have their own bike and a bike helmet in order to participate.

The kids triathlon entry fee is $10 for West Hartford residents and $15 for non-residents and $20 on race-day.

The family relay fee is $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents and $25 on race-day.  Only one fee per family.
