Join us as we watch the “new work” of writing duo James M. Denton and Rexford Cooley unfold before an audience for the very first time. The audience will be encouraged to watch the actors read the play, participate in a talk back with the writers and actors after the show and then complete a response card. Sean Harris, co-founder and artistic director of Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc, and actor Rich Hollman will lead the cast. There will be an ice cream sundae bar, and who knows, perhaps Uncle Jim will bring some samples of his delicious chocolate chip cookies? BYOB
Battleground Malibu is a comedy about two young up and coming businessmen, Sheldon Murphy and Blake Scarletti both have been swindled by Harry Palms, a crooked Real Estate Broker. Blake and Sheldon find themselves renting-to-own the same Malibu property. They decide to share the house until they find Harry and straighten out the situation. Quickly it becomes evident that Blake and Sheldon are not compatible housemates. Soon each is trying to drive the other out of the house through a series of pranks and stunts. The comedic action crescendos with Blake and Sheldon wrecking havoc on the house, and each other.
