Film Defining Civil Rights Moment To Be Showed At WeHa Library
The West Hartford Public Library Saturday, March 9, is hosting a showing and discussion of the 2014 civil rights film 'Selma.'

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Public Library Saturday is hosting a pointed discussion about one of the most important events of the 1960s civil rights movement.
The library will host a showing and discussion of the 2014 documentary drama film "Selma" from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Noah Webster Library's meeting room, 20 S. Main St., West Hartford.
The film centers on the civil rights marches from Selma, Ala., to Montgomery, Ala., in 1965 to fight for voting rights for Black Americans.

Leading the march was the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Following the film, a panel discussion featuring youth and adult representatives with the Connecticut Center for Nonviolence, one of the event's sponsors, will occur.
