First Annual West Hartford Wine & Food Festival Debuts this Summer

Features include a live and silent auction, live entertainment, more than 30 wine tables and free UBER rides.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Residents of Connecticut and beyond can enjoy some of the state’s best food and drink at the First Annual West Hartford Wine & Food Festival—showcasing hundreds of fine wines from around the world, 25 of the area’s top restaurants, and much more.

Presented by Maximum Beverage and JUSTIN Vineyards and Winery, the inaugural West Hartford Wine & Food Festival will take place Saturday, June 17, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the grounds of Kingswood Oxford, according to a release.

In collaboration with WHMEDIA and Eat IN Connecticut and sponsored by iHeart Radio, a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit select Independent Schools in West Hartford, in support of need-based financial aid.

Schools include Kingswood Oxford, Intensive Education Academy, American School for the Deaf, Northwest Catholic, Solomon Schechter, Renbrook School, St. Brigid - St. Augustine Partnership School and the Watkinson School.

Special highlights of the West Hartford Wine & Food Festival include Master Sommelier Joseph Spellman from JUSTIN Vineyards and Winery, a Wine Enthusiast Winery of the Year, who will give a Wine 101 presentation.

Other features include a live and silent auction, live entertainment, more than 30 wine tables highlighting local, national & world-renowned brands, samplings from top area restaurants, a craft brewery tent, a CT Wine and Spirits Trail tent, fine whiskey’s, cigars, local purveyors and artisans and free UBER rides.

Restaurant Participants to date include Park & Oak Restaurant, Millwrights, INDIA, Zohara, Billy Grant, and Popover Bistro & Bakery.

“West Hartford has been ripe for this type of an event for years," said Maximum Beverage Owner Brian Whitney. "We’re very excited to have been able to partner with JUSTIN Vineyards and Winery, and their Master Somm Joseph Spellman to kick-off this inaugural festival. West Hartford is home to some of the nations best schools, and we are honored to be welcomed to the beautiful grounds of Kingswood Oxford for this event and to have the support of their Head of School, Dennis Bisgaard, is a true testament to how much our town comes together to support the community we love.”

Tickets can be purchased online for $149 per person in advance and $179 at the door. Tickets include all wine and food. A “designated driver” ticket is available for $75, which includes food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Four packs of tickets are $500 and offers guests a savings of more than $24/person. Expected event attendance is over 1,000 people.
