Fitness Chain Opens In West Harford, Grand Opening Event In Avon

WEST HARTFORD/AVON, CT — Folks can always order out for pizza, Chinese food or fast food courtesy of a delivery service.

And, now, after the recent opening of a new at-home fitness firm in West Hartford, they can order out for a personal trainer to combat the affects of those afformentioned meal takeout options.

The national fitness chain is called GYMGUYZ and, according to the company, it is the "world’s largest in-home and on-site personal training brand."

It has opened in West Hartford and the owner is planning a grand opening celebration in Avon on Sunday, Aug. 20.

GYMGUYZ West Hartford will host a grand opening event Sunday to celebrate the new business’ opening.

From 1 to 4 p.m., owner Christian Silva and his team of personal trainers will be outside of the Fitness Superstore located at 395 W. Main St. in Avon.

GYMGUYZ brings personal trainers and equipment for customized fitness programs for weight loss, sports conditioning, assisted stretch and senior fitness.

Workouts take place in a client’s home, business or other location of choice.

The company also delivers corporate fitness programs for some of the world’s largest brands.

GYMGUYZ has nearly 160 locations across the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.

Silva has over 25 years of experience in and around the West Hartford area.

GYMGUYZ will be offering fitness classes for an optional donation of $20 or more to Make-A-Wish Connecticut.

GYMGUYZ West Hartford has set up a donation page with a goal of raising $1,000 during its grand opening event.

Classes will be 30 minutes long and will start at 2 and 2:30 p.m.

Make-A-Wish Connecticut is a charitable organization that provided Silva’s son with a once-in a lifetime experience 10 years ago.

“I’ve always loved working in an industry that gives people tools for living well, and even just a few months into serving my local area, I can see that my team and I are making a huge difference,” said Silva in a statement. “Being able to work with people of all ages and abilities wherever is convenient for them makes fitness more accessible than ever before.”

GYMGUYZ utilizes a fleet of bright red, branded vehicles to bring the personal trainer, equipment, and workout to the client.
