Flu Vaccines Available At West Hartford Clinic

The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District will have special flu vaccines at a clinic slated for Wednesday, Jan. 18.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — While Covid-19 continues to get a lot of attention in public health circles, it is, by no means, the lone scourge in the cold-weather season of sickness.

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, West Hartford will host a special flu vaccine clinic at a local elementary school to help folks check off "flu" as being something they're vaccinated against.

The clinic, hosted by the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District, is for anyone age 4 and older.

It will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Smith School, 64 Saint James St., West Hartford. No appointment is needed.

Flu vaccines are $5 without insurance. Cash or check accepted but no credit cards.

Folks are asked to bring their insurance card and license and the insurance provider will be billed. Insurance plans that are accepted include Aetna, Anthem BC/BS, Cigna, Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and United Health/Oxford.

Guests are asked to wear a mask and a short-sleeve shirt.
