WEST HARTFORD, CT — When the Elmwood Community Church disbanded last year and sold its building, there was one more decision to make — what to do with the sale's proceeds.

Recently, the West Hartford town and school communities learned what that decision was, as parishioners voted to donate some of the revenue to the local school system and some to the town.

In all, the church sold the building at 24 Newington Road for $920,000, according to the town officials.
