Former West Hartford, Mansfield Manager Hart Starts CRCOG Role
A well-known former town manager in two towns began his new regional role in Connecticut Monday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Former West Hartford and Mansfield town manager Matt Hart Monday began his new adventure in representing the region's municipalities — and he even did so with a commemorative selfie.
Hart was named executive director at the Capitol Region Council of Governments in mid-December.
"Completed my first day at CRCOG," May Hart said in a Twitter post accompanying the selfie. "My thanks to the team for the warm welcome. Looking forward to serving our region."

The Capitol Region Council of Governments, or CRCOG, is an organization designed to "initiate and implement regional programs of benefit to the towns and the region." It is guided by the chief elected officials of 38 Greater Hartford municipalities. The mayors, first selectmen and town council chairmen make up CRCOG's governing policy board.
"It's official ... Matt Hart joins CRCOG today," CRCOG officials said. "We're thrilled to have him here."

Hart was named West Hartford town manager in April 2017. Before that, he was the town manager in Mansfield, the host town for the University of Connecticut.
