‘Galentine’s Day’ Event In West Hartford To Benefit Women United

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Blue Back Square in West Hartford is partnering with Women United to host its first Galentine’s Day event on Wednesday, Feb. 13, officials announced. The event is a way for women to come together to support the growing United Way movement that has helped 165 communities in six countries, officials said.

Galentine’s Day will offer mall guests special shopping deals, tasty samples from participating restaurants, signature cocktails created with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, photo opportunities and a chance to win prizes. A variety of fun activities will take place, including readings by an intuitive life coach, the Greek tradition of plate smashing as well as a Galentine’s Day themed ride by CycleBar.

Participating businesses will be donating a portion of proceeds from sales of designated items to Women United of the Central and Northeastern Connecticut United Way. Participating restaurants and retailers include Balos, Bar Louie, Flemings, Rizzutos, Skeleton Key/Deadbolt, The Cook and the Bear, Vinted, World of Beer, Barnes & Noble, CycleBar, Blo Blow Dry Bar, Crate & Barrel, Ooh La La, West Elm, Spot Coffee, Mom’s Time Out, The MedSpa at The Delamar and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Started in 2002, Women United has raised more than $1.5 billion to support three specific topic areas; education, financial security and health.

The Galentine’s Day event will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 13 at Blue Back Square, located at 65 Memorial Road in West Hartford.
