Global French Bakery Chain Opens New Shop In West Hartford

A ribbon-cutting for Connecticut's only franchise is slated to take place later this week.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — One of the town's newest culinary hotspots recently opened, with a special ribbon-cutting slated this week to make it official.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at Paris Baguette on Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at the eatery, according to the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce.

Paris Baguette is located at 1479 New Britain Ave. in the shopping plaza directly across the street from the Westfarms Mall, which is located in West Hartford/Farmington.

Ribbon-cutting activities are planned for 11 a.m., but the fast-casual restaurant has been open for about a month.

Paris Baguette is actually a global brand owned by SPC Group out of Seoul, South Korea, with an eastern regional office operating out of Moonachie, N.J.

It has about 3,700 shops in South Korea, with 270 in the U.S. and Canada. West Hartford is the only one in Connecticut.

Paris Baguette is mainly a bakery, featuring upscale cakes, breads, croissants, and other baked goods, but it also features myriad lunch/dinner options such as salads, sandwiches, and wraps.

It also has several beverage options, including coffee and tea drinks, both hot, cold, and frozen.
