Growing Cookie Bakery Chain To Open In West Hartford This Weekend
It will open on LaSalle Road with all sorts of grand opening specials, including a free cookie giveaway.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A growing cookie bakery chain frequently tied to college campuses will open a West Hartford site this weekend.
Insomnia Cookies will open its first West Hartford location on Saturday, March 7, adding a late-night dessert option near the University of Hartford.
The new bakery at 70 LaSalle Road, first floor, is the company’s fifth store in Connecticut and 351st nationwide.

The Philadelphia-based chain specializes in warm cookies, ice cream, and other desserts, with in-store, pickup, and delivery options.
Grand opening events are scheduled from noon on Saturday, March 7, through 3 a.m. into Sunday, March 8.

Customers who visit the store during that time and sign up for the company’s Insomnia Rewards program will receive one free Classic cookie, with no purchase required, for in-store or delivery orders.
The offer is limited to new rewards members.
The company is also offering free delivery with the code HARTFORD from noon on March 7 through 1 a.m. March 23.
Store hours will be:
- Sunday, noon to 1 a.m.
- Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
- Saturday, noon to 3 a.m.
The West Hartford store will deliver to the University of Hartford campus and surrounding neighborhoods.
The company is hiring part-time crew members, delivery drivers, and shift leaders for the new location.
Founded in 2003 by then-University of Pennsylvania student Seth Berkowitz, Insomnia Cookies is headquartered in Philadelphia and operates more than 350 locations nationwide.
In addition to West Hartford, Insomnia has cookie bakeries in Hartford, New Haven (Yale University), Stamford, and Storrs (University of Connecticut).
