Hall-Southington Skaters Shut Out Fermi Co-op
Warrior-Knights improve to 4-1 with 2-0 victory in home opener.
Jack Rivers scored a goal and assisted on another, and goaltender Adam Faust stopped 18 shots to lead the Hall-Southington ice hockey co-op to a 2-0 win over Fermi-Enfield-East Granby-Stafford Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Rink in West Hartford.
After a scoreless first period, Rivers set up Kyler Cubbage for the only goal the Warrior-Knights would need 1:41 into the middle session.
Later in the period, Rivers was assessed a two-minute penalty. When it expired, he rushed out of the penalty box, took a long pass from Jeremy Fortin, broke in alone and beat Falcon goaltender Sam Roy.
