Halloween Stroll Event Set In West Hartford

UPDATE: After many days of being glued to the weather reports, Moms & More Club of West Hartford has made the decision to cancel this year's Halloween Stroll, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27, officials announced on Friday morning. There is no rain date.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — (Contributed article): Costumed children of all ages are invited for a fun morning in West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square for the Moms & More Club of West Hartford’s Annual Halloween Stroll from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Costumed children are welcome to Trick-or-Treat at participating merchants throughout West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square. There will be musicians, face painting, a Zamboni to climb aboard, local sports team mascots, games, and other activities throughout the Center, and of course, candy.

Beloved children’s band Sunny Train returns to perform at Webster Walk in the Blue Back Square, sponsored by Chick-fil-A of West Hartford. Chick-fil-A and 102.9 The Whale radio station will also be raising funds this year for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.
New this year is a dedicated allergy-friendly area, located in the Little Pumpkins Lot (the former REI parking lot off of Raymond Road). This area will feature vendors handing out non-candy giveaways so that children with food allergies do not feel left out of the fun. As in previous years, this area will also have hands-on activities geared toward children ages 0-3. This allergy-friendly zone is sponsored by a West Hartford-based company, Fun for All Foods, a producer of Top 8 Allergen Free foods.

West Hartford author Colleen Brunetti will also be signing copies of her children’s superhero tale of a child with food allergies. Your little ones can also stop by 96.5 TIC FM’s candy trunk for trick or treating at Blue Back Square.
The free festivities are featured at various stations along the route that encompasses LaSalle Road, Farmington Avenue, South Main Street, Memorial Road and Isham Road. You decide where and when to begin.
Parking is available at Town Hall, in the garages on Isham Rd., Memorial Rd. and the Town Center building on South Main Street, as well as the municipal lots on Brace Road and LaSalle Road. Parking fees apply.
This event is produced in collaboration with the Town of West Hartford, the West Hartford Center Business Association, Blue Back Square, West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, and sponsors Chick-fil-A of West Hartford and Fun for All Foods.
