Hang Out With People That Are Better Than You Somehow!

Hanging out with people that are better than us in something wears off on us. We begin thinking, talking and acting in more successful ways.

Have you ever seen someone that was really successful? Someone that you truly admired and really wanted to be like? Have you ever tried to mimic their gestures and body language? Go ahead and try it. Did you just notice a different feeling inside of yourself? Did you feel a change in your physiology? You sure did! By mimicking gestures and body language, such as, posture and movement of real winners, we change the way we feel and think for the better.

We are already surrounded by people that are better than us in some way. Ah, don’t get sad over your deficits, get glad over their achievements because they provide us with inspiration that can move us toward a positive change of state. If we are aware of some area of our lives that we would like to improve, then our job becomes to find people who are already proficient in that area and hang around them.

By hanging around people that are better than us in selective ways we start to deliberately change our thinking about what is possible. Some of their ‘betterness’ or expertise will rub off on us when we are in their company. And if we are lucky enough to find one of the greats, or one of the unsung heroes out there to hang out with, then his or her greatness will completely cover us and start to seep into our pores and into our being. Eventually we will start being more like them. Wouldn’t it be great to be so lucky? Well, the funny thing is that we can all be so lucky if we just put our minds and bodies to it!

Now teens, go learn, lead, and lay the way to a better world for all of us. Remember to always pursue and then successfully hang out with people that are better than you somehow, and then maybe someday people may be learning about you too in some great book or block buster movie. And once again, thanks in advance for all that you do, and all that you will do…
