Hartford Man Sentenced in West Hartford Armed Robbery, Burglary
Police say two men broke into a house and robbed a homeowner at gunpoint and then they robbed a man on the street.

Jaquarius Carter, 20, of Hartford will serve the next 10 years in prison for his role in an armed robbery of an occupied apartment in West Hartford and a street robbery, the Hartford Courant reports.
The separate incidents both occurred on August 17, 2014 where Carter and Terrance Clarke, 18, of Bloomfield, first broke into an apartment on Lowell Road and threatened the homeowner with a gun, the Courant reports.
Then they robbed a person on Farmington Avenue. Clarke was sentenced previously to six years in prison for his role in both crimes. Carter’s attorney said his client was high on drugs and alcohol at the time of the crimes.
