Hall, Conard High Schools In West Hartford Among State's Top 25

One school was 13th in Connecticut, the other 16th and a private school in town was also ranked in its category.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Both of the town's high schools are among the state's top 25 public high schools in Connecticut, according to a recently released ranking by an educational platform.

According to the online ranking system Niche, Conard High School in West Hartford was 13th while Hall High School was 16th.

Hall High School is at 975 N. Main St. and Conard High School is at 10 Beechwood Road.

West Hartford Interim Superintendent of Schools Andrew Morrow said the high school rankings are something to be proud of and they also reflect the role the other schools play in the district.

"We’re always proud when the Conard and Hall high school communities are recognized for the great work they do each year," Morrow said.

"Honestly, these rankings are not just a reflection of the high schools, but really recognize the incredible efforts of all our our schools from pre-k to high school and the work that our teachers do in educating and challenging our diverse student body."

Both West Hartford public high schools were joined by West Hartford-based Kingswood Oxford School on the list.

Kingswood Oxford placed 19th in the state among private high schools, according to the rankings.

Several schools in Connecticut are among America’s best, according to rankings released Sept. 27 on the education platform Niche.
