Holiday Stroll Set For Thursday In West Hartford
The town's annual celebration, which features the Holiday tree lighting and much more, will take place Thursday, Nov. 29. Read details here.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford’s annual Holiday Stroll will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29 at Blue Back Square and West Hartford Center. The free, family-friendly event has something for everyone.
“Come meet Santa & Mrs. Claus and their elves, see the Holiday tree lighting, sample lots of tasty treats, check out the window decorating contest, take part in the make-your-own luminaria workshop, roast marshmallows, peek inside West Hartford’s fire trucks, enjoy our strolling Victorian carolers and so much more,” according to the town website. Entertainment is showcased on two stages; one at Webster Walk in Blue Back Square and the other at the corner of Farmington Ave and LaSalle Road. Featured groups include the Conard High School a cappela group Be S#arp, West Hartford Women’s Chorale, Conard Jazz Combo, and the Sound of New England Chorus. Come see the ballerinas from the School of the Hartford Ballet and the Ballet Theater Company perform scenes from The Nutcracker.

Stop by the First Church of Christ, 12 South Main St., to view their Festival of Trees, and then hop on the trolley and take ride all around the Center while being entertained with trivia games and karaoke singalongs. Meet the mascots from the Hartford Yard Goats, Hartford Wolf Pack, New Britain Bees and Hartford Hawks strolling about, and learn about some of the animals from the Children’s Museum at Kaoud’s Rugs, 17 South Main St.
Isham Road in Blue Back Square will be closed so Launch Trampoline and West Hartford Little League can fill the street with games and fun. The Conard Honor Society will also be there with a bake sale.

Meet Renee DeNino from radio The River 105.9 at Webster Walk in Blue Back Square and Ed Sabatino from The Whale Radio 102.9 and Radio 104.1 on Farmington Avenue in The Center.
