WEST HARTFORD, CT — One year after Mother Nature rained on the Park Road Parade, one of the city's biggest annual events is ready to resurrect itself in 2024.
To do that, organizers are asking residents, organizations, and businesses to make plans to march and celebrate on Saturday, Oct. 5.

"We proudly announce our 2024 grand marshal is WFSB TV and podcast host Renée DiNino," wrote event organizers in an announcement.
"Renée’s participation in the parade will showcase her passion for animal rescue and food donation. Winners will be spotlighted in the parade."
This year’s parade pays tribute to the late Rob Rowlson, a lifelong resident of West Hartford, loving family man, business advocate, and Park Road supporter.
He was a co-host TV announcer for the parade for many years on West Hartford Community Interactive.
