Jewish Center In West Hartford Hosting Author At Special Forum

R. Derek Black, who wrote​ 'The Klansman's Son: My Journey From White Nationalism to Antiracism,' is the guest of honor at Sept. 11 event.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A special dinner/forum on racism and the scourge of white supremacy will take place in West Hartford on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

The vent will take place at the Mandell Jewish Community Center of Greater Hartford's Innovation Center, 335 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford, with a special virtual guest.

On hand via Zoom for the forum will be author R. Derek Black, who wrote "The Klansman’s Son: My Journey From White Nationalism to Antiracism."

A community Kosher dinner ($25 per person) will take place at 5:30 p.m. with the Zoom forum and community book read happening at 7 p.m.

"If you can't make the dinner, please join us in person or via Zoom for the discussion. No charge for joining the discussion," wrote event organizers in an announcement.
