Lane Closed on Trout Brook Drive Due to Road Failure
The West Hartford Public Works Department announced the lane will be closed until at least Thursday afternoon.

A portion of Trout Brook Drive will be closed until at least Thursday afternoon due to “road failure,” the Public Works Department announced on Wednesday.
The winter weather continues to take a toll on roads in the area (in addition to our sanity!) and as a result, the right lane north bound in the vicinity of Kingswood Oxford School will be closed until at least Thursday afternoon.
“The site must be excavated to be temporarily repaired,” Director of Public Works John Phillips said in a press release. “We cannot schedule this work until tomorrow morning at the earliest. This is due to project preparation, the work crews requiring a rest break from the past 30 hours work period, and forecast with accumulating snow tonight.

“It is not our preference to close a lane on an important street, however, circumstances leave us with no other option.”
