Lions Club is looking for teen/teens to wear our Lions Club Mascot Costume at Breakfast Fundraiser

Looking for one or more volunteers to wear our club mascot lion costume at our annual fundraiser.

We are looking for high school students who would like to gain some community service hours. The Greater Hartford Host "West Hartford " Lions Club ais holding our 53rd Annual Pancake Breakfast and Buffet fundraiser on Sunday, April 30th from 8AM to noon at the American School for the Deaf (ASD). We are looking for students who would like to log in some community/volunteer service hours by wearing our Lions Club Mascot costume, "Paws the Lion" to interact with children and also stand at the driveway of ASD to prompt people to come in. The costume is large so it probably will not fit a petite teen. Please contact Danielle Herbert at 860-249-1149 to let us know of any interest. We will also feed the volunteers a free buffet breakfast.

The proceeds from the Breakfast are used to support community projects aiding the visually and hearing impaired children and adults of West Hartford and the Greater Hartford area. Lions assist those in need of glasses, eye exams, hearing aids, smoke detectors, and gives two $2500 scholarships to local graduating high school students who are entering a two or four year college of university. The club also supports such organizations as the Lions Low Vision Centers of New Britain and East Hartford, Oak Hill School, Connecticut Radio Information Service for the Blind (CRIS), Fildeco Guide Dogs, ASD and The Village for Families and Children.

If you would like to attend you can purchase tickets at the door or at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/l...
