Major Fantasy/Role-Playing Festival Coming To West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A local library will host a celebration of the imaginary sorts as its second-annual incarnation promises even more thrills and wonder.

West Hartford's Noah Webster Library, 20 S. Main St., will host the second annual "BookWyrm Fest" from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.

BookWyrm Fest is West Hartford’s annual celebration of all things adventure, fantasy, board games, live-action roleplaying (LARP), and tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs).

The event features food, handicrafts, books and authors, gaming vendors, clubs, and live music.

BookWyrm Fest is held inside and outside the Noah Webster Library and at Webster Walk in Blue Back Square. Admission is free.

Here are just a few of the things guests can enjoy:

• Learn how to wield a sword from a real knight.

• Jump into a tabletop adventure.

• Have your face painted.

• Peruse the wares of our many vendors.

• Dance to the music of The Penniless Jacks.

All ages are welcome and dressing up is encouraged.
